What "virtual" means in practice

Your card exists entirely as numbers, not plastic. You'll have a full card number, expiry date, and CVV — everything you need to pay online or add it to a digital wallet. There's nothing to wait for in the mail and nothing that can get lost or stolen out of an envelope.

Is a physical card coming?

Possibly, down the line — but there's no confirmed date for it. A physical card depends on it being approved by our issuing bank and prioritized on the product roadmap, so we can't promise a timeline right now. If that changes, this article will be updated.

Good to know: if you've used a tap-to-pay wallet before, your virtual Swype card works the exact same way in stores — you just won't have a card to physically hand over or swipe.
