Gift cards sent through a Perq Reward Campaign have two separate expiration windows, not just one — when the reward first arrives, and again after the recipient starts using it. Here's exactly how the timing works.

Window 1: the first 60 days

When a Perq Reward is sent, the recipient gets a link by email. They have 60 days from that point to redeem it for the first time. If they don't redeem it at all within those 60 days, the gift card expires — no balance, no further chance to use it.

Important: this 60-day clock starts the moment the reward is sent, regardless of whether the recipient has opened the email yet.

Window 2: the remaining balance, 90 more days

Once the recipient redeems the reward for the first time, a second, separate countdown begins: any balance still sitting in the wallet expires 90 days after that first redemption. The recipient needs to pick and redeem the rest of their rewards before that balance disappears.

What happens if the recipient never redeems the reward at all?

The whole gift card expires after 60 days from when it was sent — there's no second window if it was never redeemed even once.

Does the 90-day window start from the send date or the first redemption?

From the first redemption, not the send date. Those are two separate clocks: 60 days to redeem for the first time, then 90 more days for whatever balance remains.

Can an expired Perq Reward be refunded?
