Send the wrong operator ID? We'll quietly fix it for you
Yes, you can pick any operator ID in a country — but auto-detect double-checks it against the number and corrects it if needed.
Can you pick any ID?

Wrong ID sent?
Auto-corrected
Method
GET
Yes — you can use any operator ID available within a country to send a top-up to any mobile number in that country. But there's a safety net: Reloadly also auto-detects the correct operator on your behalf. If you send the wrong operator ID for a given phone number, we try to figure out the right one and send the top-up there instead.
The auto-detect endpoint
Call it with the recipient's phone number and country code:
GET
https://topups.reloadly.com/operators/auto-detect/phone/+50936377111/country-code/HT?&includeBundles=true
phone
+50936377111
country-code
HT (Haiti)
includeBundles
true — also returns data bundle products, not just airtime
ℹ️ This auto-correction is a safety net, not a license to skip validation — it's still good practice to send the right operator ID whenever you know it, rather than relying on detection to catch every mismatch.
