Before you issue a single card, we need to know who you are

CARD TYPES & ISSUANCE  •  KYB

Does Swype support KYB for business clients?

Yes. Every B2B client goes through Know Your Business verification before onboarding, card issuance, or access to white-label capabilities. Here's what that review actually checks.

B2B Clients

REQUIRED FOR

All onboarding

YOU'LL NEED

Business documents

Short answer: yes — Know Your Business (KYB) is mandatory. All B2B clients must complete it before onboarding, issuing cards, or accessing white-label capabilities. There's no path around this step.

What KYB checks, compared to KYC

KYC verifies an individual end user. KYB verifies the business itself — the legal entity that's actually onboarding with Swype. Both run, but they check different things:

KYC — the person

Name, email, address, date of birth, phone number for an individual cardholder.

KYB — the business

Legal entity details, registered address, tax ID, and the people behind the business.

What information is reviewed

Your KYB review covers your business details and two separate addresses on file:

Business details

Business tax ID number   Business website

Physical & registered address

Street address, city, state   Postal code, country code

How the review process works

Your application moves through a structured review case, not a one-time form submission:

1

You submit your business information

Tax ID, website, and both your physical and registered addresses.

2

A case opens for review

Your application is tracked as an open case with a reference ID, assigned to a reviewer on our compliance team.

3

Verification runs against your submitted details

This includes business registration checks, online presence review, and a look at the people associated with the business.

4

Your case is approved or declined

Once approved, you're cleared to onboard, issue cards, and access white-label capabilities.

What KYB gates for you

You can't proceed past the application stage on any of the following until your KYB case is approved:

General onboarding as a B2B client
Issuing cards under your program
Access to white-label capabilities

Important

Incomplete or "No data available" fields in your submission will hold up your case. Make sure your tax ID, business website, and both address sections are fully filled in before submitting — missing fields are one of the most common causes of review delays.
