How to add balance to your Reloadly Wallet with a card (Live mode)

Step-by-step guide to recharging your wallet with real money, using a bank card.

Estimated time

2–3 minutes

Level

Basic

You'll need

A real bank card

Your Reloadly Wallet is the balance you use to pay for top-ups, gift cards, utility payments, and payouts. This guide covers how to recharge it with real money, in Live mode — to try the same flow without spending real money, check out our article on recharging your wallet in Sandbox.

Important: before you start, check that the Sandbox toggle (top-right corner of the dashboard) is off. If it's on, you're in the test environment — no real charge will be processed, and you won't be able to use your actual card.

1

Go to the Wallet section

From the top menu of your dashboard, click Wallet, with the Sandbox toggle off. You'll see your current real balance, auto-recharge options, and the available payment methods.

Threshold: $5 – $100

💡 Tip: turn on the notification checkbox to get an email when your balance drops below a threshold you set, so you never run out of balance unexpectedly.

Choose a payment method

Click Recharge wallet. A window opens with three options: Add Bank Card, Crypto Payment, and Bank Transfer. Select Add Bank Card and click Next.

📍 Address details

Card country, state, city, postal code, and real billing address.

💳 Card details

Real card number, expiration date (MM/YY), and CVC code.

👤 Cardholder

Full name of the cardholder and a contact email.

📱 Phone

A real phone number with its corresponding country code.

ℹ️ About the micro-charge: clicking Submit triggers a small real charge on your card, just to verify it's valid. That amount is reverted automatically once verification succeeds — it's not an extra cost, though you may briefly see the movement on your bank statement.
4

Confirm and complete the recharge

Click Submit. Once your card is verified and saved, you'll be able to choose the amount to recharge and confirm the payment. The balance reflects in your My Wallet immediately, and the corresponding charge will show up on your card statement.

Optional

⚡ Set up auto-recharge

So you never run out of balance, turn on Auto recharge in the right panel of the Wallet section. You'll be able to set:

  • Recharge amount: between $50 and $1000 per transaction.
  • Minimum threshold: when your balance drops below this value (between $5 and $100), auto-recharge triggers using your saved real card.

That way, your top-ups, gift cards, and payments don't get interrupted by a lack of funds.

Remember: in Live mode, every recharge (manual or automatic) generates a real charge on your card. If you want to practice the flow risk-free, turn on the Sandbox toggle and use our test cards instead.

❓ Frequently asked questions

Why do I see a small charge on my card right after adding it?

That's the verification micro-charge. It confirms the card is real and valid, and it's reverted automatically once approved — it doesn't affect your wallet balance.

Can I use my real card with the Sandbox toggle on?

No. Only test cards work in Sandbox; your real card only processes in Live mode, with the Sandbox toggle off.

How long does it take for the balance to show up in my Wallet?

With a card, the recharge processes and reflects immediately. With a bank transfer, it can take longer depending on the issuing bank.

Can I save more than one real card?

Yes. From the Payment methods section in Wallet, you can add additional cards by clicking Add Card.
